reflect on their impact so far and deliberate on the future of Justice in Africa. For the first
time since its inception in 2017, LAICON will explore and include justice opportunities in legal
innovation showcase lessons and best practices in other African countries, including
Uganda, Kenya and Malawi

LAICON is an annual event and platform where best practices and innovations in legal aid are shared with a creative approach towards access to justice as a necessary catalyst to improve legal aid service provision. It will provide a space for sharing current progressive thinking and will enable key actors to recognize and implement innovations in legal aid service delivery especially low cost initiatives that increase efficiency in accessing justice.

Who can submit innovations to the Legal Aids Conference
Anyone who is feels they are carrying out progressive and creative activities and ideas that are transforming access to justice and improving legal aid service provision. To submit an innovation to the Legal Aid Innovations Conference, go to the “Home” page and click the “Submit” button. Follow the steps provided to submit your innovation. .
Does an innovation have to be Tech Based
No, your innovation does not have to be tech based. Even though we will happily accept tech based innovations, non tech based innovations are also very welcome. Some of the best innovations that would help transform the legal aid sector are simply ideas that have not been implemented into the current systems.
Can an innovation simply be an idea that has not been implemented yet
Yes, we encourage innovators to share ideas that they believe are necessary in improving the legal aid sector that are not in practice yet. This way more work can be done to improve the sector in order that it may benefit the public more. .
Who can submit their legal aid innovations
Anyone, who is interested in sharing new ideas that can broaden and improve access to justice and the law, is welcome to submit their innovations for the Legal Aid Innovations Conference. The greatest ideas that can cause transformation often come from the most unexpected people.
Do i have to be part of the Legal Sector or the legal Aid Sector to Submit an Innovation
No, you do not have to be part of the legal sector or the legal aid sector to submit an innovation. We encourage the general public who want to see positive transformation in the access to justice and law to share their innovations.

No, because you have already filled in “Innovators’ Registration Form” you will automatically be registered to attend the event.
