The project run between June 2019 and January 2021.
The project was executed in the areas of Awach Subcounty (Paibona, Pageya, Burcoro and Paromo) Paicho (Adonai Primary school in Arut Kinene in Omel, Cwero, Te-got and Omel spem) and Bungatira Sub County (Coo-pee, Lukodi) in Gulu with community outreaches in Gulu municipality (Layibi, Bar-dege, Pece and Laroo). -

Mediation training was carried out by project partner Advocats Sans Frontieres. Over the course of the project, 124 mediations were carried out. over 90% of the people who were served by the mediators were satisfied or very satisfied about their interactions with the mediators, the mediators' approach to impartiality and the solutions suggested by the mediators. 32% of the mediations were about land disputes, and 42% of the mediations were about disputes between spouses and domestic violence -
Statistics of the project
Over the course of the project a total of 7,723 people were served.
3,538 women were able to access legal information through the digital platforms that BarefootLaw made available.

Conference Summary
The project results were presented at the National Workshop on Women's Rights in March 2021 at Hotel Africana in Kampala. There were many people in attendance including Members of Parliament, representatives of the Executive in Government and community leaders from the project areas. This workshop was held jointly by BarefootLaw and Advocats Sans Frontiers. The video recording of the Workshop is on the right.
